Elements of Photography

Camera Angle

This photo was taken during our long walk around University of the Philippines Academic Oval in Quezon City. While waiting for the traffic light to turn red, we took a picture of it while it still signals the riders “go”. Same with beauty, there will come a perfect time that we will glow up and will become confident on how we look, dress, and behave despite of diversity. We just have to wait for that certain point in our life and live the best out of our lives.

Rule of Third

When we were about to go home after of roaming the roundabouts of the said oval, we decided to take shots of ourselves along with the gray hue sky and the moving cars. I took this photo of Bacunawa to savor the moment while we were waiting for the jeep that would took us back to our places. Our feet really got hurt for standing about an hour and half just to wait for the jeep. In this picture, it shows that even though we’ve waited for so long, beauty still stays. And Bacunawa is a living proof—be it outside or inside.

Balance

Behind the famous Oblation is the Quezon Hall. We decided to take a picture of ourselves to make a memory. Fortunately, this photo of Charlene best illustrates the “balance” photography. We have captured ourselves along with our visualizations of studying in this certain university and graduate as beyond proud and overwhelmed Iskos and Iskas. Just like in this balance photo, diverse beauty from the outside must not overpower what beauty we possess within.

Line

As we go along and continue walking nonstop across the road inside U.P Academic Oval, we found out a garden named “Garden of Justice and Peace”. The said place is so alive and it solely authenticates its name. The place is really peaceful because of the chirping birds, howling trees, and cool and fresh breeze. It goes with beauty as well. Beauty shall authenticate its existence not only in our physical appearance, but as well as on our inner self.

Repeated Pattern

This photo was taken after the C.A.T boys arranged the chairs for the practice for our moving up ceremony. It was around 9:00 in the morning so the sun was already set. Just like the arranged chairs, we are all beautiful. That even though we came from different families, exposed to diverse cultures, and have grown in different environments, despite of the mere differences, we all are equal when it comes to beauty.
