SELF INTRODUCTION

Hi! My name is Bench Polo V. Paguia. 16 years of age and was born on May 11, 2003. I am the eldest child and currently living along with my family in Sub-Urban San Jose, Rodriguez, Rizal. I could say that our life is simple—nothing more, nothing less. My hobbies are: watching movies and K-dramas, eating with my friends after dismissal, reading fantasy and yaoi books, playing badminton, and singing. These are just few of the things I usually do when I have my “me time”.

I’m currently studying under of an academic strand called “HUMSS” or Humanities and Social Science in St. Matthew College. The reason why I chose HUMSS as my strand is because of my dream job—and that is to become a teacher. All throughout my life, I believe that teaching is not only about guiding and providing students what they need academically, teaching them what they want and do not know, and helping them to forge their bridge of success to have a brighter future. I think it also pertains to touching young minds’ heart—which is love, in its simplest form. If ever God will give me a chance to be an educator, I will teach them the meaning of collaboration. So that they can learn from each other’s experiences.

My greatest dream in life, aside from making my parents proud, is to be genuinely happy. Happiness can be barely found nowadays. Due to upheavals that appeared, we have lost the real essence of joy. The word “happiness” doesn’t circulate around fancy things, stable life, nice job or cool sports car. To me, I think it’s all about being contented on what you have and being loved by the people around you—these are the true and legit definitions of happiness.

If I were to describe myself of one thing, it would be an abstract painting. As we all know, it requires a very long time of scrutinizing to fully know what is the real message laid behind the strokes of multiple colors. And in real life, only few of all the people I know deeply understand and know the real me. In addition, abstract paintings are kind of a form that has been never seen before by the mankind, so, it gives viewers freedom to interpret it. And just like what is currently happening to me, my personality is being judged by others by basing on my usage of words without even knowing what and who I am truly.
